Almost three months without you, Alan… and it still feels unreal.

Almost three months without you, Alan… and it still feels unreal.

We miss you every single day… your calls, your emails, your sense of humor that could brighten even the darkest moments…
I will never forget our last lunch, just days before your unexpected departure, at Lunch at Medlar in London. Even though you weren’t feeling well, you still played rock, paper, scissors with Nicole… and when she lost, you made her eat that bitter chocolate she didn’t want! We laughed so much that afternoon, not knowing it would be the last…

But beyond the memories, what we miss most are the lessons you left us: the importance of helping others, of cherishing a child’s smile, of being grateful for what we have, of never letting negativity take over, and of ALWAYS doing what’s right, even when it’s hard. You showed us that what truly matters isn’t material things, but being present for one another, offering a hand or a smile, or simply bringing sunshine where there is darkness. That’s what you’ll always be for us: light, even in the darkest times.

Beyond the extraordinary humanitarian missions and every act of kindness you left behind, for us you were, and will always be, part of our family.
We’ll keep honoring your example, carrying your light forward, just as you taught us.
